Notes: Rabbit on a Hill was inspired by “Infected Landscape #1,” a photo by Julie Sundberg in the 2022 Head On! Photo Festival, which was created by allowing biological materials to grow on a piece of film before development. The title comes from an early childhood experience of discovering the body of a rabbit while playing outside at preschool, and the piece attempts to emulate a sickly-sweet yet sentimental interpretation of rot and decay.
